Red Bull GRC Fantasy Challenge: Louisville Experts’ Picks
We get it, Red Bull GRC fans—sometimes you’d like to hear from the experts before making your Fantasy Challenge picks.
PLAY: FANTASY RED BULL GRC Louisville Challenge | 2017 Championship
After all, the 2017 season opener in Memphis was one of the most balanced rounds in series history. Not only did half of the Supercar field win at least one heat during the weekend, all but one GRC Lites driver managed to lead a lap during the event!
We understand it’s hard to make the right choices with such a close field, so we’ve drafted in some of our experts to help you out. See if you agree with our experts and play the game here!
Chris Leone (RedBullGRC.com): Scott Speed, Steve Arpin, Sebastian Eriksson, Cyril Raymond (tiebreaker)
I’m sticking with the same three Supercar drivers I had in Memphis, since two of them gave me podiums. Eriksson was the only exception, but he showed he had the speed to run up front until mechanical issues knocked him back in the pack. But I was particularly impressed with Raymond’s debut—he adapted to a new series and new competitors very well, and I won’t be shocked if he grabs his first GRC Lites victory this weekend.

Dominik Wilde (Autosport/The Checkered Flag): Scott Speed, Mitchell deJong, Chris Atkinson, Alex Keyes (tiebreaker)
How on earth do you pick between Scott Speed and Tanner Foust? Well as reigning champion as winner of the last round, the momentum has to be with Speed. deJong was the top finisher from a youthful Honda lineup, and Atkinson and Subaru have proved that they now have a strong package to challenge the front runners. Keyes’ result in Memphis isn’t a reflection of his true colours.

Pat McAssey (NESN Fuel): Scott Speed, Mitchell deJong, Sebastian Eriksson, Conner Martell (tiebreaker)
Heading into Louisville, Scott Speed and Mitchell deJong seem like easy picks. Speed hasn’t missed a beat since clinching his second title, and deJong similarly was strong all weekend in Memphis. Honda looks quick, so a strong showing from Sebastian Eriksson could be on the cards. And Conner Martell looks like a dominant force in Lites right now, so it’s hard to bet against him.
