Red Bull GRC Memphis: Fantasy Challenge Results
If the inaugural Red Bull Global Rallycross Fantasy Challenge results are any indication of what the rest of the season will be like, the competition is going to be exceptionally tough!
PLAY: FANTASY RED BULL GRC Louisville Challenge | 2017 Championship
The maximum score for last weekend’s Red Bull GRC action at Memphis International Raceway was 207 points; selecting Scott Speed, Steve Arpin, and Mitchell deJong would have yielded the maximum results for the Supercar season opener. All driver scores are listed below:
- Tier 1: Scott Speed 79, Tanner Foust 74
- Tier 2: Steve Arpin 64, Sebastian Eriksson 55, Patrik Sandell 46
- Tier 3: Mitchell deJong 64, Oliver Eriksson 56, Cabot Bigham 54, Chris Atkinson 49, Austin Dyne 0
While nobody earned the full 207 points, four players scored 202 by pairing Tanner Foust with Arpin and deJong: Alec Johnson of Stuart, FL, Christopher Brut of St. Petersburg, FL, Patrick Pattison of Westminster, CA, and Ryan Yin of Monmouth Junction, NJ.
To declare a winner, we went to the tiebreaker: one GRC Lites driver from the entire field. While three of the players selected Alex Keyes, whose race-winning run was derailed by a left rear tire issue, Johnson’s Team 5theAJ picked Alejandro Fernandez, who scored 53 points to break the tie. Congratulations Alec—we’ll be in touch with you about your Red Bull GRC prize pack!
