Staturday Progressions: Joni Wiman

Joni Wiman exploded onto the Red Bull Global Rallycross scene as a 19-year-old, posting a perfect season in the inaugural GRC Lites championship and earning a promotion to a Supercar with Olsbergs MSE. The next year, he pulled off the upset to define all upsets, stealing the title in the Las Vegas finale with a clutch Joker Lap that took him from fourth to second.

The subsequent two years haven’t been quite as spectacular, but Wiman remains one of the series’ most consistent drivers. A constant main event presence, he went from helping develop the new Honda Civic in the first half of 2016 to a contender for podiums and even victories week in and week out by year’s end. Today, we look back at the Finnish phenom’s results in the Supercar class over the past three years:
