Cole Keatts, Cyril Raymond Confirmed For Olsbergs MSE GRC Lites Lineup
Olsbergs MSE announced today a two-car lineup for the 2017 GRC Lites season to partner its three-car effort with Honda on the Red Bull Global Rallycross Supercar grid. American Cole Keatts will return for his second Lites season, while Cyril Raymond will look to continue his winning ways after taking a Lites championship in Europe last year.
Keatts, a native of Lewiston, Idaho, started every GRC Lites race last year, cracking the top five for the first time at his home event in Seattle. The second-year driver, a championship-winning racer in multiple off-road disciplines, will return to OMSE for his second season with the team.
Saint-Raphael, France native Raymond earned two wins and five podiums on the way to the European championship last year. While 2017 will mark his first season in GRC Lites, the young driver comes in with extensive top-level experience, including time in a Supercar in the French national championship.
Olsbergs MSE is one of the most prolific teams in GRC Lites history, winning the 2014 and 2015 championships with current Supercar drivers Mitchell deJong and Oliver Eriksson, respectively. In 2016, OMSE drivers earned four victories, 12 podiums, and 17 heat victories on the way to two of the top three spots in the championship.
“We’re delighted to extend our relationship with Cyril to include GRC Lites,” said team principal Andreas Eriksson in a release. “We have similarly high hopes for Cole in his second season with OMSE. He learned a lot last year, and with Oliver and Mitchell both stepping up to Supercars, he is ready to grab his share of the GRC Lites limelight.”
