Will Christien will join Red Bull Global Rallycross as full time on-air host and pit reporter for all event broadcasts in 2017. In her new role, Christien will be present on every Red Bull GRC Supercar and GRC Lites broadcast on NBC, NBCSN and the NBC Sports Extra app.

“One of the things I love most about covering the Red Bull GRC series is the interaction you get to have with the drivers and teams,” Christien said. “The pits are so accessible, not only to us but to the public too, and this helps to create an atmosphere that is unlike any other sport that I’ve worked in.”

Raised in London, Christien transitioned into broadcasting at the conclusion of a successful wakeboarding career, and has spent the past decade covering a variety of assignments ranging from golf to motocross and various travel series. Christien is also a veteran of numerous Red Bull sports properties, including Red Bull Air Race and the Red Bull Signature Series. She has covered Red Bull Global Rallycross since 2014, including the full season as part of Red Bull TV last season and selected events with NBC Sports in 2015.

“NBC Sports is such a perfect fit for Red Bull GRC with it’s unique and fast pace style of racing,” Christien added. “The series is attracting more and more motorsports fans every season and I’m so excited for the opportunity to join the broadcast team in a year where we’ll be delivering more hours of race action to the viewers than ever before.

“The expanded broadcast schedule for this year means we’ll not only be able to provide more race coverage (which of course every race fan wants!) but also we’ll be able to bring the viewer even deeper behind the scenes as the stories unfold. There are so many wonderful and colorful personalities in the series and we want our fans to have the opportunity to really get to know them.”

NBC Sports will produce the largest slate of Red Bull Global Rallycross telecasts in series history in 2017. Telecasts of the Supercar championship on NBC will be joined by event replays and GRC Lites shows on NBCSN, as well as the debut of qualifying and heat race shows on NBCSN for selected events.
